Girls Football

On Thursday, the year 5/6 girl’s football team played a tournament at St Augustine’s Primary School. The girls played 4 games in total and finished a very successful joint third. Considering they had never played as a team before, they showed fantastic skill and teamwork. Thank you for the support from the parents and helping with transport.

Sunny Afternoon Sports

This week, on a beautiful sunny afternoon, the year 1s and 2s had a lovely afternoon being coached by the year 5 and 6 classes. The children all chose a skill to teach, warmed the children up, kept them active and engaged. A lot of fun was had by all!

Final Football Game

The football team had a great afternoon travelling to Malcom Sargent to play in a tournament against the other primary schools in Stamford. The boys played 7 games in total and demonstrated superb skill and teamwork. Overall, we finished in joint second place! Congratulations to the winning school. Well done to the boys for a fantastic season and working very well as a team. Thank you for all of the support from the parents, grandparents and particularly to Mr Goddard for all of his hard work coaching the boys!

Another football win!

On Tuesday, the boys finished the football season with a game at home against Bluecoat. They ended the season well with a final score of 5-1! Once again the boys played brilliantly and showed great teamwork and fantastic skills. Thank you to parents for all of their support this season and well done to all involved. Watch this space for results of the league winners!

Netball League Winners!

We are pleased to finally announce that, in the autumn term, our mixed High-5 team won the Stamford Schools' netball league! This meant that the team went through to represent Stamford at the Lincolnshire School Games which took place at The Meres, Grantham on Thursday 9th March.

Daisy, Amelie, Miia, Molly, Sam, Ben and Luke really enjoyed their day playing netball in the sunshine! The standard was high but our team managed to go through as group winners, undefeated. Goal difference meant that the team entered the next round playing in a bronze-medal match which finished 4-4. Despite some excellent play, extra time saw the opposition scoring 2 goals and St Gilbert's lost 6-4. This meant that our official standing was 4th out of 16 teams: a superb achievement!

Well done to all involved and thankyou to Mr Fairclough for helping transport the players to Grantham and back.

Welcome to Rowling Class

Our class is named after one of our favourite authors, J.K. Rowling! We have enjoyed many of her books in class, although we read a wide range of authors. Please come back and check our page often, to see what we've been up to!

You can find out more about J.K. Rowling from her website!
