We hope you have been enjoying using the speed sound flash cards that have been sent home in your child's 'Word Wallet'.
Recently we have included some 'green' words in your child's wallet. These are words that can be decoded by your child. You can use Fred Talk - you say the sounds and see if your child can hear the word they make.
As your child becomes more familiar with the words they can be used as flash cards just like the speed sounds.

The Caterpillar and Tiger classes have had great fun getting Christmassy this week. The children have decorated the classrooms, listened to the Christmas story and made delicious gingerbread biscuits.
The children have been working so hard for their Christmas Production of 'The Very Hopeless Camel' we are overwhelmed with their commitment to learning their lines and putting on a fabulous show. Thank you to all of the grown ups who have helped with costumes your support is greatly appreciated! We look forward to seeing you for the show!
Thank you to all the parents who attended our information evening on Monday 19th September, we hope you found it both useful and informative. As promised the information is now uploaded so you can access the links for the reading videos. Please click on this text.
On Wednesday we had a visit from the police as part of our People Who Help Us topic. They told us about some of the things they use in their job and they brought a police van with them. We were all allowed to sit in the back of the police van but the most exciting part was when they put the sirens and flashing lights on!
Then on Thursday it was World Book Day and we all came to school dressed as characters from our favourite books. Everyone's costumes were fantastic and we were all very excited! In the afternoon we had a book swap where we could bring in a book from home that we don't read anymore and swap it for someone else's.
And to top it off we all had great fun at the disco after school on Thursday.
What an exciting week it has been!
Our class is named after the fantastic story The Tiger who came to tea by Judith Kerr. We have enjoyed listening to the story and pretending to be the hungry tiger eating all the food in the house. Mr Tiger is our class mascot, he helps us to learn and is always there if we need a snuggly cuddle.
Remember to keep popping back to keep up to date on the super learning and exciting achievements that are happening in Tiger class.
