Welcome to St Gilbert's
“‘Fantastic staff, a happy and caring atmosphere that also sets high standards in terms of progress and behaviour."
St Gilbert's parent, quoted in Ofsted 2016
A very warm welcome to St Gilbert’s Church of England Primary School.
We are exceptionally proud of our school and are confident that we provide a vibrant and stimulating learning environment in which pupils of all abilities thrive, founded on a strong Christian ethos.
We want all our pupils to experience success in everything that they do as part of our school family. We aspire for them to maximise their potential and we encourage all our pupils to take a full part in the life of the school by taking on leadership responsibilities, representing the school within the community and being involved in activities during and after the school day.
An advisor to the school has commented that our pupils
‘were polite, considerate, informative and bursting with pride for the responsibilities they have and their viewpoint of the school community’.
We strongly believe that all our pupils should not just grow academically through inspirational teaching but that they should also be nurtured personally and socially so that they become confident, well-balanced and happy, prepared for the world beyond St Gilbert's.
Staff and Governors believe that learning is lifelong and that everyone within our school community should seize every opportunity to develop and grow. We are committed to providing a high quality education for all our children and we look forward to working alongside you in realising this.
It is our hope that our website will serve to make us a very accessible and informative school, and also provide us with the opportunity to share some of the wonderful things we do at St Gilbert’s School.
Do come and visit us to see the life of the school first hand or contact the school for further information.
I look forward to meeting you.
