Admission Criteria

For more information on our admission criteria, see our Admissions Policy.

The preferred method for applying for a Reception place is online. Apply for a place online here. You can also apply by telephoning Lincolnshire County Council Customer Service Centre on 01522 782030.

If you need to apply for a place outside of the normal admissions dates, perhaps because you have just moved to the area, then you should use the process described on the Lincolnshire County Council 'Midyear admissions' pages.

How do I apply for a school place?

1. Read the Lincolnshire School Admission Guide 2022

2. Visit the schools you are interested in

We encourage prospective families to visit our school. We feel it is very important to see us in action and therefore we hope that our open mornings and virtual tour will give you an insight into our school life. We welcome individual queries via telephone or email.

Details of which school is the closest school to your home address can be found via this link to the Lincolnshire County Council search tool.

3. Ask the schools for a prospectus so you can learn more about them

We have the St Gilbert's prospectus, Ofsted report, the Anglican schools report and details of the admissions and other policies to help you learn more about us.

4. Apply online before the closing date

You will need to apply for a school place online. Applications for admissions can be made from 15 November 2021 until noon 15 January 2022 for children starting September 2022.
